Hardware Systems Engineer, Measurement Systems, Opto-Mechanical, Physics, Engineering, Malvern, Worcestershire. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a long established, incredibly successful company with an international presence in a niche market place. The ideal applicant will work on the design and development of high technology measurement systems including optical systems and thermal systems that may involve signal processing and liquid sample preparation.
You will be involved in all stages of the product life cycle and will be commercially aware, innovative, a good communicator and willing to learn and progress. The right candidate will have an understanding of instrument systems architecture, opto-mechanical capability, good experimental technique and a proven track record or working effectively to project timescales. You will also be educated to degree level in Physics, Engineering or a related topic, with a background in the high technology or scientific sectors. Any experience with embedded systems, the use of MATLAB, knowledge of optically based material characterisation systems and working in a TickIT / ISO9000 environment would also be beneficial.
Please note that this role will initially require some travel and work in the USA and applicants must be willing and eligible to do so.

Salary: £40-£45,000
