Tooling Engineer

Our client is seeking an additional team member to join their Tooling Department.  Based on site in the Machine Shop/Tool Room, suitable applicants are likely to be time served engineers with knowledge and experience in general Press work and Tool design.

This role will involve the servicing of all factory tooling (Press Tools, Rolls, Jigs and Fixtures), machinery and tool maintenance and repair to remedy all breakdowns quickly and efficiently.

It is essential that you have working experience of Press Tools and CAD as all tools are designed in-house.  As well as Tool making & design experience, it is also essential that you have previous machine maintenance experience.

Basic machinery used in the Machine shop includes milling machines, large lathes and copying machines.

This is a ‘hands on’ role and will involve work of a heavy nature.  

You will be reporting to and working alongside the Machine Shop Manager in a team of 5 engineers.

This is a full time role, working 8am to 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 12:30pm Fridays.

Salary TBC depending on experience.
