I am currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a growing Kidderminster based company. They are offering a competitive salary, depending on experience, as well as 25 days holiday + bank holidays and working hours of 8:00 - 16:30 Mon to Thurs and 8:00 - 13:00 on Fridays.





They are happy to consider people qualified by experience as well as people part AAT qualified.





Main Purposes of the Job





•To assist with the completion of accurate accounting records, dealing with supplier and customer queries and internal requests.







•Responsible for the correct recording of staff expenses, purchase and sales invoices onto the Coda system and assisting cardholders of Amex and Purchase Cards to access their on-line accounts.







•To support the management accounts process to include labour hours reporting, sales analysis and associated administration.







Main Responsibilities and Tasks: Finance







•To assist with the checking and processing of Amex and non-Amex expense claims and processing onto ERP, together with the on-line administration.







•To assist with the checking and processing of Purchase Card transactions, together with the on-line administration.







•To assist with the completion and checking of VAT returns and Intrastat reporting and the accurate and timely submission of statutory returns.







•The maintenance of overheads to assist with monthly accruals.







•The preparation of supplier BACS payments and processing through the appropriate software.







•The inputting of nominal and ERP journals.







•The reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.







Other Duties:









•To provide holiday/sickness cover to the Finance department







•To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required by the department and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.







•To assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc analysis and requests.
