The Role 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Human Resources department supporting the sites 300 employees within a Manufacturing environment. Working closely with the HR Manager you will be consistently aiming to ensure a high level of HR support across the business. 

Responsibilities 

Experience using Kronos is an advantage 
Dealing with new starters, personal details, time and attendance and salary information 
Dealing with disciplineries and grievances and note taking at meetings 
Provide cover for the operational time and attendance system where required 
Management of the sites temporary labour provider 
Facilitate all site Inductions for new starters 
Administer and carry out all exit interviews on site 
Processing of contracts and new starter information 
Liaise with payroll and accounts 
Managing the occupational health project and ensuring employees turn up for appointments on a weekly basis 
Ensure prompt responses to Employee and Managers requests/queries 
Setup and maintain a training records database, research and advise on vocational qualifications 
Assist and support current and future apprentice, graduate and placement programmes on site 


Key Skills & Abilities: 

Excellent Verbal communication & listening skills 
Ability to follow instructions and organise tasks fully & on time 
Ability to use initiative to think through problems to find solutions 
Literate with good written skills 
Numerate 
Strong MS Excel skills are essential 
Ability to check for accuracy and good attention to detail 
Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and powerpoint 


Qualifications: 

Ideally you will hold a CIPD Level 3 qualification or be looking to work towards this 


Personal Attributes: 

Ability to use initiative 
Calm under pressure 
Motivated 
Organised
