This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a fast paced, growing engineering company that is a genuine global market leader in its field. It would give the right candidate the chance to develop and implement innovative standards and processes with excellent opportunities to progress.

The organisation itself specialises in developing and producing a wide range of innovative, bespoke components made from advanced materials. The complexity and uniqueness of their products brings a huge amount of variety in terms of purchased and raw materials as well as manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:
• Maintaining, implementing and improving the Quality Management System
• Lead the coordination of Quality improvement activities
• Utilise Six Sigma and other statistical methodologies to evaluate and reduce product, people and process variation
• Lead program Quality planning required to achieve customer expectations for APQP and PPAP processes
• Hands on day to day running of the Quality elements of the value stream, to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved and maintained, at optimum costs, in order to enhance company performance
• Maintain project reviews in accordance with outlined project plans
• Implementing various problem solving techniques including the 5 Y’s, 8D process, FMEA and Gauge R&R trials
• Preparation and participation in project meeting with customer representatives.

Requirements:
• HNC qualification in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience of working within an ISO9001 organisation
• Utilising problem solving techniques (FAI, 8D, SPC, 5Ys)
• Understanding and practical experience in the use of quality improvement methodology
• Sound understanding of Lean Manufacturing
• Six Sigma Green Belt (Desired).
