  • St Richard’s Hospice, Worcester

St Richard’s Hospice cares for patients and families in Worcestershire who are living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Each year we give free care and support to around 1,800 patients and families – helping them towards the best quality of life possible. In 2006 Louise Hewett was invited to become Patron of the Hospice as recognition for the fundraising and support shown by Hewett Recruitment over the years. "It is such a privilege to become a patron…." said Louise.

 

  • Worcestershire Ambassadors

The Worcestershire Ambassadors is a unique scheme designed to bring together key business people from leading Worcestershire organisations to actively promote the county and raise money for annually nominated charities within the area.

Louise became Chair of the Ambassadors in January 2009 and with the help of those on the Management Group plan to increase the presence within the county of Worcestershire.

The Prince’s Trust is a UK charity that helps young people overcome barriers and get their lives working. Through practical support, including training, mentoring, and financial assistance, the Trust helps 14-30 year olds realise their potential and transform their lives.

 

  • Worcestershire Community Foundation

Community foundations are charities located across the UK dedicated to strengthening local communities, creating opportunities and tackling issues of disadvantage and exclusion. Community foundations target grants that make a genuine difference to the lives of local people. They manage funds donated by individuals and organisations, building endowment and acting as the vital link between donors and local needs, connecting people with causes, and enabling clients to achieve far more than they could ever by themselves.

Louise is a member of the Management Board for the Worcester Alliance, which is the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) for the city of Worcester. The Alliance brings together organisations from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors that are based in, or work in the city of Worcester.
