Client Overview

Livity Life is a rapidly growing Technology Enabled Care (TEC) provider delivering monitoring, installation, assessment and response services that support vulnerable individuals to live safely and independently. As the organisation expanded nationally, leadership identified the need to build an internal technology capability to improve service resilience, enhance innovation and reduce reliance on external suppliers.

Hewett Recruitment partnered exclusively with Livity Life to support the creation of a new internal IT and data function aligned to the organisation’s growth strategy.

The Challenge

At the outset of the project, Livity Life’s internal technical team consisted of three employees supported by third-party providers. As the business scaled, this structure limited agility, ownership and long-term technological development.

Livity required multiple specialist hires simultaneously to establish a fully functioning internal technology team within a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment.

Key challenges included:

  • Building an internal technical team from the ground up

  • Recruiting across multiple disciplines at the same time

  • Sourcing niche skillsets including Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform automation and data engineering capability

  • Delivering hires quickly to support operational growth

  • Ensuring strong cultural alignment within a mission-driven care organisation

The business required a strategic recruitment partner capable of guiding structure, market positioning and delivery pace.

Hewett Recruitment’s Approach

Working closely with Technology Director Jason, Hewett Recruitment acted as an embedded recruitment partner throughout the project.

Support included:

  • Collaborative refinement of job specifications and role scope

  • Multiple onsite meetings to discuss roles and project in detail

  • Salary benchmarking and market insight to support hiring decisions

  • Full UK talent market mapping across IT, data and project delivery disciplines

  • Weekly progress meetings, reporting and recruitment trackers

  • Technical and cultural pre-screening of candidates

  • Coordination of interview processes across multiple concurrent hires

  • Agile response to evolving hiring requirements

This consultative approach ensured recruitment activity aligned directly with Livity Life’s transformation objectives.

Business Impact

By building a dedicated internal technical team, Livity Life strengthened its ability to innovate, improve operational efficiency and enhance the delivery of Technology Enabled Care services that directly support vulnerable individuals across the UK.

The new structure provides greater ownership of systems, faster decision-making and improved long-term resilience as the organisation continues to grow as an independent provider.
