Commercial Temp Consultant

Hi, I’m Janine and I have been working at Hewett Recruitment since April 2018. Previously a client of Hewett’s, I head up the Commercial Temp desk in Worcester and Kidderminster. My background has always been in Recruitment and HR, driven by my passion for helping people, building relationships and making a difference.

I started my career as a Temp Recruitment Consultant for a recruitment agency in Dubai before moving into an Internal Recruiter role for a UK founded Engineering Consultancy. Soon afterwards I was heading up HR for the Middle East region in an HR Generalist role. When I moved back to my native South Africa some years later I worked in HR specialising in Employment Equity and most recently back in the UK, as an HR Generalist for a fast-growing SME in Worcestershire before joining Hewett Recruitment. I am currently studying towards my CIPD level 5 Diploma in HR Management.

I feel my HR and internal recruitment experience are a great advantage to my new role, as I understand the internal challenges faced by my clients and how important it is to find efficient solutions. My aim is to get to know my clients so that I can get the right person in the right role the first time. I enjoy meeting with people and learning about them and their experiences so that both client and candidate have a positive experience.

We spend most of our time at work, so I think it is important to enjoy what you do and do what you enjoy!
