In this role as a 3rd Line Support Consultant, you will be working on a software helpdesk, supporting customers with the company's ERP software. The primary function of this 3rd Line Support Consultant opportunity is to manage escalated 2nd line incidents. Your key responsibilities will include:

-Investigation, resolution and root cause of support calls
-Provide support and assistance to other support teams, acting as an escalation point for 1st & 2nd Line Teams
-Provide a high level of practical technical ability supporting current and future systems
-Review program codes, with a familiarisation of indexed sequential file structures
-De-bug programs where possible errors have been reported
-Identify reoccurring customer issues, highlighting to Application Support Manager where necessary
-Update our ITSM tool with relevant updates with regards to the resolution of incidents and the capture issues and changes via Jira
-Write programmes to extract data
-Ensure exceptional customer care and service is always delivered
-Identify reoccurring customer issues, highlighting to Application Support Manager where necessary

To be successful in this 3rd Line Support Opportunity, you should have experience of the following:

-Programming background or experience in 2nd/3rd Line Roles or IT Based Qualification/s
-Knowledge of Windows and SQL beneficial
-A good knowledge of ERP software systems, sales order processing, warehouse management and financials
-Knowledge of test-based editor (e.g. "vi" editor)
-Experience with supporting Linux servers
-Java based programming experience
-A computing-based degree (programming elements would be a benefit)
-Experience of supporting web-based applications

This 3rd Line Support Consultant opportunity is based in Kidderminster so is commutable from Worcester, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Hereford, Malvern, Pershore, Lower Broadheath, Powick, Whittington, Stourport-On-Severn, Bewdley, and Stourbridge.
