Job: Audit & Accounts Senior

Type: Permanent, Full or part time considered

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Type: Permanent + Hybrid working. Hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm or 9.00am to 5.30pm. (full time)

Hewett Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with a leading accountancy practice in the Worcestershire area supporting them with their ongoing recruitment. The office is based in central Malvern and is close to all public transport links, with the option of also working from home or in 2 of their other offices in the Worcestershire area. Due to growth and ongoing developments within the practice they are now on the lookout for a motivated audit senior who is committed to providing an exceptional service.

As an Audit/Accounts Senior you will be an integral part of the team, you will work directly with an established client base and closely with the senior leadership assisting in the planning, delivery and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment.

Duties:

  • Reporting to the Audit Manager/Partner
  • Carrying out audits from planning stage, through liaison with the client either through on site work or remote means to completion of audit file including attendance at audit closing meetings where necessary
  • Develop an understanding of our client's and their businesses
  • Prepare accounts from clients manual or computerised records
  • Highlight issues and problems for the attention of senior management
  • Become familiar with our audit and accounting software
  • Discuss and resolve accountancy queries, obtaining relevant information and explanations
  • Obtain an understanding of related services such as Payroll, Audit, Corporate and Private Tax
  • Work as part of a team to undertake a variety of audit and accountancy tasks
  • Understand the scope of tasks allocated to you and objectives to be achieved
  • Keep managers and partners fully informed of any issues and ensure work is completed to a level agreed with the manager

What you need:

  • Hold (or be working towards) the ACA/ACCA Qualification
  • Sound knowledge of Financial reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of regulation and compliance,
  • Experience of auditing, statuary accounts, disclosures, and group audits
