We are looking for a motivated and organised Trainee Business Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for an entry-level administration role, business administration apprenticeship, or trainee office position with full training provided.

You will gain hands-on experience across customer service, reception, office administration and business support while developing valuable long-term career skills within a professional office environment.

No previous administration experience is required; however, previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong communication skills are key.

Salary: £9.00 per hour
Location: Kidderminster
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 3:00pm Friday
Training: 1 day per week at Kidderminster College
Transport: Driving licence not required - excellent public transport links available

What You'll Be Doing

As a Trainee Business Administrator, you will support the day-to-day running of the business by assisting customers, visitors and internal teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting visitors and supporting reception/front-of-house activities
  • Answering calls and assisting with customer enquiries
  • Processing customer orders and updating internal systems
  • Supporting delivery administration and customer communication
  • Assisting with quotations, invoices and office paperwork
  • Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems
  • Supporting office administration and business support tasks
  • Assisting with social media and company events

Apprenticeship Information

Qualification:
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard

Upon successful completion, the apprentice will achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification and End-Point Assessment (EPA) certification.

Typical Duration:
18 months, depending on the apprentice's prior experience and progress. The duration may be reduced where appropriate.

Learning & Study Hours:
As part of the apprenticeship programme, learners will complete a minimum of 6 hours per week of off-the-job training, embedded within their working week through day release and structured learning activities that support both knowledge and skill development.

Delivery Format & Support:

  • Blended learning model combining face-to-face sessions, online learning and one-to-one reviews
  • Regular progress reviews involving both the apprentice and employer
  • Dedicated assessor providing ongoing support, guidance and feedback
  • Full preparation for End-Point Assessment (EPA), including mock assessments

Additional Information:

  • The programme is tailored to align with business needs, ensuring the apprentice develops relevant workplace skills
  • Entry requirements include Grade 4 (or equivalent) and above in Maths and English
