Controls and Instrumentation Technician

My client are a specialist waste organisation now operating a waste for energy site requiring a new controls and instrumentation technician. As a Controls and Instrumentation Technician you will be responsible for assisting and functioning alongside engineers as part of the maintenance team in calibrating, testing and maintaining plant equipment.

Responsibilities:
*Investigate faults of controls and instrumentation
*Calibrate and document plant systems in line with standards
*Ensure control equipment is operated correctly
*Maintain and organise contract maintenance for specialist machinery
*Recommend spares to be held on site
*Support of maintenance team
*Work within all health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements:
*HNC or Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering
*Worked in power or process industries such as chemical or heavy industry
*Metso, Valmet DCS or A1-CBiss experience would be advantageous
*Experience of multi discipline teams
*Strong problem solving skills
*Flexible and adaptable individual
