Electronics Design Engineer

Leominster area

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000pa, depending on experience

Hybrid working: 3 days from home, 2 days from office

Our client, a well-established, successful industrial product design company in Herefordshire is currently looking for Electronics Design Engineer who could support them with taking their products beyond proof of concept.

Our client's portfolio varies from Automation Design to Health & Wellbeing, with big success in mechanical design, from initial design and prototyping to production support. As the firm grows, so does the need for an electronics/electrical engineer who can take the electrical design part of the business one step further, whilst keeping it in-house.

We are looking for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer who is skilled in this field and who can say to the customers 'Yes, we can take that electronic product to market for you', with clear idea in mind that can be easily communicated to the customers.

Electronics Design Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Work as a team with Mechanical Design Engineers to design the product
  • Create initial concept of the electrical part of the product
  • Use/create electrical design using appropriate software
  • Create and test finished prototype
  • Provide technical support to clients and colleagues
  • Communicate effectively and presentably with clients and team

Electronics Design Engineer Requirements:

  • Skilled in electronic design of embedded systems, for example utilising supporting software such as: KiCAD; ArmKeil; Arm MBED; STM dev tools; MATLAB Simulink
  • Can demonstrate experience doing what needs to be done
  • Must have easy-going but can-do attitude
  • Ideally has mechatronic skills
  • Degree in appropriate field advantageous

Based near Leominster (Herefordshire), this position offers hybrid working where office attendance is only expected twice a week.
