Engineering Instructor

Location: Worcester - travel to Hereford site once a week

Job type: Full time - Monday-Friday

Salary: T.B.A + excellent benefits package

We are really excited to be working with our client Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group Training Association and supporting them in looking for an experienced Engineering Instructor to deliver high-quality training and support to apprentices and adult learners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who is passionate about developing future talent and helping learners achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities of an Engineering Instructor

  • Deliver engaging engineering training to apprentices and learners
  • Plan and prepare lesson materials, schemes of work, and training resources
  • Monitor learner attendance, progress, and achievement
  • Provide constructive feedback and prepare learners for assessment
  • Support apprentices through regular reviews and development discussions
  • Liaise with employers, colleagues, and stakeholders to support learner success

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to motivate and support learners of varying ages and abilities

Desirable:

  • Apprenticeship-trained background
  • Teaching, training, assessor or verifier qualifications
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and engineering qualifications
  • Understanding of safeguarding, Prevent and British Values
