Enterprise Networks Specialist

Are you an Enterprise Networks Specialist looking for a new challenge? In this opportunity you will join a highly skilled and technically able team responsible for the design, implementation and third-line support of a wide range of hosted and locally deployed infrastructure solutions.

This Enterprise Network Specialist is a new role looking predominantly after internal projects (80% internal vs 20% hosted) - for example, network upgrades and refreshes across all locations. A big focus of the role would be the management and support of networking elements such as firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, load balancers, but there will be the scope to work on hosted projects alongside Enterprise Infrastructure Specialists.

To be successful in this role as an Enterprise Networks Specialist you should have the following experience:

-CCNA or CCNP
-Proven experience with clustered firewall technologies (Cisco, ASA, Juniper, Checkpoint etc)
-Experience with Cisco network switches including Nexus
-Proven understanding of network design and communication protocols within LAN/WAN environments - access lists, VLANS, STP, HSRP, BGP, MPLS, OSPF etc
-A proven approach to security (network, server and principles)
-Experience with IDS/IPS
-Proven experience in SOC or NOC
-Proven experience in an ITIL environment
-Microsoft, Linux, CompTIA or VMware certifications (desirable)
-Linux scripting (desirable)

Your primary responsibilities in this role will include but not be exhausted to the following:

-Management of Cisco and Aruba networking solutions across group offices
-Provide 3rd line support to escalations from the level two infrastructure team
-Planning, testing and implementation of future strategy/new technologies as necessary
-Ensure successful delivery of projects within agreed timescales
-Delivery of internal and hosted infrastructure projects
-Protect integrity of environments to ensure maximum stability and availability
