Factory Operative

Our Client is the specialist supplier of fully flattened steel sheets and plates.

The steel is initially in rolls of different thicknesses which is put through machines that cut the steel into flat sheets and plates as per customer measurements. This is then wrapped and banded to be distributed to the end customer.

Full training will be provided, the role is physically demanding and fast paced so your ability to work in this environment is needed.

Factory Operative Requirements:

• Ability to work in a team
• Banding and wrapping product
• General upkeep of tidiness in work area
• Basic inputting of stock onto computer (training is provided)
• Proactive attitude to ask for other tasks when machine is being reloaded

Factory Operative shifts & pay:

• 06:00 to 14:00 & 14:00 to 22:00 rotating shifts - £9.59p/h
• 22:00 to 06:00 Nights Sunday to Thursday - £10.25p/h

The pay does increase when taken on permanently.
