A leading UK business specialising within the telecommunications sector is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their growing team.
As Finance Administrator you work as part of a small and friendly Accounts Department, reporting to the Senior Finance Officer with responsibility for a variety of accounting tasks.
Responsible for processing accurately up to 1,000 purchase invoices per month, ensuring that all invoices are authorised and project costed.
To review Purchase Order requests daily, challenging if necessary and aligning to the VR process working with colleagues to ensure any costs that can be VR'd are entered into the system process.
To ensure support is given including accurate and timely input of the Company's financial transactions; Purchase Ledger invoices; Cash Management including processing and matching receipts and postings from bank.
To support in the reconciliation of transactions and balances, investigating differences as required including credit card receipts, out of town expenses analysis and payments.
To support in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement and assist in developing and analysing key financial information to ensure the company makes well informed decisions.
To work to all agreed service levels and processes with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
Experience of working to service standards, targets and deadlines.
Experience of Purchase Ledger and Cash Management transactional processing.
Knowledge of financial processes.
SAGE and Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Good reporting, analytical and research skills.
Based near Kidderminster. Own transport required due to location.
Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
£20,000 annual salary.
