The Role

This is a 12 month, fixed term contract opportunity.

As Finance Manager you will be reporting directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for ensuring adequate financial controls & processes are in place to support the business. The role requires review of AR/AP ledger and wider balance sheet controls, policies & processes and recommending improvements. Obtain a good understanding of the business processes, including sales, purchases, payments, cash collections, cash application & query resolution. Reporting to the role is a team of 6 finance professionals based in Droitwich, Worcestershire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, develop, organise and manage Finance staff reporting to the role in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Engage Senior Management Team and improve cross-department collaboration
  • Full balance sheet ownership
  • Develop and improve meaningful KPIs and reports to management to analyse and improve/control business
  • Control bank approvals and cash flow management in coordination with Group Treasurer
  • Controlling of I/C invoicing within EMEA & Group companies
  • Controlling of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ledgers
  • Controlling of the Inventory ledger and required provisions
  • Controlling of customer related accruals, including payment and reconciliation
  • Review of the VAT returns and responsibility with HMRC compliance
  • Review and reconciliation of payroll, headcount and employee expenses
  • Control and review of foreign currency transactions
  • Management and preparation of impairment reviews
  • Review monthly balance sheet actuals and forecast
  • Support the communications and activities with external auditors
  • Develop strong internal control functions & processes and promote best practices
  • Develop and improve meaningful KPIs and reports to management to analyse and improve/control business
  • Manage system setups and processes
  • Lead specific workflow projects (price control process, customer promotion approval process, PR/PO process, T&E process, CAPEX approval process, etc.)

Requirements

  • Professional qualified accountant, preferably ACA/ACCA
  • Basic understanding of foreign exchange hedge accounting
  • Experience in financial accounting environment with good working knowledge of financial accounting to statutory accounts level
  • Strong understanding of key financial controls required in a business
  • Strong understanding of corporation compliance requirements.
  • Excellent Excel and Power Point skills
  • Experience in managing Accounting Teams

£50,000 annual salary.

Based in Droitwich, Worcestershire.

Monday to Friday Full Time Hours.
