Job: Finance Manager
Hours: 37 a week Monday to Thursday 815am - 445pm 1pm Finishes on Friday!
Location: Stourport, Worcestershire
***Certain degree of flexibility with hours***
***HYBRID working 1 day per week can be accomodated***
I am representing one of our key clients in Stourport who are seeking a Finance Manager. Our client have a great 'family-feel'. They are a Manufacturing SME that is expanding rapidly and hence seeking a Finance Manager to drive the business forward further. This opportunity will offer career progression, a great work environment with flexible working.
Your new duties:
- Reporting of the UK site in line with Group reporting timetable (to include actuals, budgets, forecasting, cash flow and variance analysis) utilising site ERP accounting system and Group consolidation system.
- Full responsibility for UK GL including provisioning, journals, currency revaluation and full balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of Company statutory accounts
- Drive the budget process, working with the Group FC and various functional heads, and support in the budget presentation to senior stakeholders
- Line manager for 1 direct reports and one dotted line report - provide cover where necessary including group netting payments, intercompany recharges, treasury bank reconciliations, FX trade confirmations and monthly reporting
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns, payment of NIC and pension contributions to meet legislative requirements
- Preparation and submission of National Statistic Returns
- Co-ordinate treasury and payroll processing
- Build strong relationships and partner with various internal functions to improve efficiencies, controls and processes
- Review and submission of annual PSA\/P11D submissions
- Annual tax pack preparation
- Ownership and control of Fixed Asset Register
- Liaison with external\/internal Auditors
- Qualified Accountant (ACA\/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong technical background
- Strong intellect with an ability to rapidly identify key issues and see the bigger picture
Able to influence people at all levels of the organisation and secure commitment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse team in terms of seniority and function
- High attention to detail and able to deliver to a high standard within rigid timeframes
- A methodical and organised approach to tasks
- Good Excel skills and integrated ERP experience advantageous
