Working from offices in Worcester, you will report to the Managing Director and initially work on a 'hands on' stand-alone basis, managing the entire finance function. With investment from within the Group secured and growth plans in place, it is expected that the Finance Manager will build a small team around them as the role grows and become a key member of the Management Team.
*Planning & management of the department.
*Management of purchase, sales & general ledger including stock, payroll & pensions.
*Year end & month end.
*Involvement in the annual budgeting projects.
*Full reporting on P&L including sales & cost analysis.
*Calculation, monitoring & reporting on business KPI's.
*Management & accurate & timely preparation of payroll & pensions payments.
*Involvement in production of detailed sales & P&L forecast & budget on bi-annual basis.
*Production of balance sheet & cashflow forecast & budget on bi-annual basis.
*Management of credit control function.
*Calculation & payment of quarterly POA for Corporation Tax.
*Management of VAT/PAYE returns & payments & any intrastate reporting.
*Ad hoc analysis & reporting.
*Monitor & review systems & procedures highlighting issues or areas for improvement.
*Previous significant experience in a similar role essential.
*Qualified Accountant - industry or practice experience.
*Excellent excel skills.
*Strong numeracy, written & presentation skills.
*Ability to use finance & stock systems, in particular Sage Accounts.
*Experience of managing a small team would be beneficial.
*Team player, good with people and a strong communicator.
£35,000 - £45,000 Annual Salary.
26 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays.
Based in Worcester.
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
