Finance Officer
As Finance Officer, you'll be the main point of contact for day-to-day financial operations. You'll ensure timely and accurate financial processing, reporting, and compliance, helping the organisation make informed decisions that drive impact.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Processing sales and purchase invoices, supplier payments, and credit control
Managing monthly bank reconciliations and credit card transactions
Administering payroll and pensions (using BrightPay)
Assisting with VAT returns, monthly management accounts, and year-end audits
Supporting budget preparation, forecasting, and grant tracking
Providing financial guidance to budget holders and project officers
About You
- AAT qualified (or working towards), or has equivalent experience
Experienced in financial administration, reconciliations, budgeting and VAT
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with good communication and organisation skills
Able to work accurately to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with cloud-based finance systems (e.g. Xledger, Sage, Xero)
