My client is a research and development organisation looking to take on an FPGA Engineer to bolster their existing team of engineers. As a FPGA Engineer you will be tasked with design, development and test of devices for their customers.
Duties of a FPGA Engineer:
*Developing FPGA and ASIC technology
*Work as part of a team of engineers to design new devices for the defence industry
*Testing of new devices such as integration and field test
*Cost out the work and manage associated risks
*Report on work completed within projects
*Become technical expert on systems and how to problem solve with them
Skills and Experience to be a FPGA Engineer:
*Degree in Electronics or Physics or Engineering based discipline
*Able to design FPGA systems
*Broad knowledge of electronics and engineering principles
*Digital processing background, embedded, system on ship and high speed interfaces.
*Technical writing and documentation
Personal Qualities of a FPGA Engineer:
*Strong problem solver
*Good team player
*Enthusiastic about new technology
Based in Malvern, this role as a FPGA Engineer will be commutable from: Malvern, Worcester, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Hereford and Leominster.
