Job description
Health & Safety and Facilities Manager
Primarily based in the Worcester Office, this position will have responsibility for the development of health and safety and facilities management across the office locations in the UK and Ireland. With up to date knowledge on health and safety legislation and an IOSH qualification, you will be a manager who leads by example, has excellent communication skills and instils a positive health and safety culture.
Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Overall responsibility for all aspects of health and safety management across the offices
- Maintain and continuously develop the company's health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct and regularly review the company's risk assessments
- Maintain the company's in house management system
- Manage emergency procedures such as fire alarm drills
- Train employees in health and safety procedures
- Provide assistance to the HR and Senior Managers in all regional offices with regards to health and safety and facilities management
- Work with and oversee contractors
Key skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- IOSH Health and Safety trained (Chartered member)
- A positive, proactive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload
- Strong record keeping skills with excellent attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
Based in Worcester with travel to other sites as required, a full clean Driving Licence is essential.
