An established Manufacturer who design all of their own products in house. All products are manufactured on site at Hartlebury and they supply to the construction industry and home owners.
This will be a dual role covering both the manufacturing facility based in Hartlebury and the field based fitting and installation work conducted throughout the West Midlands.
You will report to the Directors/Senior Management Team and be expected to contribute to Management meetings on a weekly basis, updating the team on all relevant Health and Safety news and developments.
To monitor, advise and assist the Directors to ensure a safe a compliant Health and Safety structure in the business.
To manage, monitor and improve systems (both administrative and practical) as may be required, liaise and deal with all H & S associated equipment suppliers and service providers including sub-contractors.
To arrange and undertake training to ensure the workforce is compliant and up to date with legislative requirements.
To prepare and maintain Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments and any associated documentation as may be required for the various sites on which we carry out installations.
To carry out any accident and H & S investigations as may be required.
To liaise and deal with and assist the HSE as may be required.
To undertake site visits and audits and attend H&S site meetings as required.
To visit clients premises to liaise on all H&S related matters, including pre-start meetings.
To assist in the completion of Pre Contract Qualification Documents and accreditation schemes as may be required.
To generally assist and work with the Directors and Management Team to promote a safe, secure and enjoyable working environment for all our staff, sub-contractors and visitors.
Previous experience in a Health and Safety Advisor role or similar essential.
Experience from within Manufacturing or field based installation industries essential.
NEBOSH qualified as a minimum.
Hold a current CSCS card or be prepared to apply for one.
A good working knowledge of relevant statutory legislation.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good planning/organisational skills.
Strong hands-on qualities, able to lead by example and prepared to complete more basic duties from time to time.
Good IT & report writing skills.
A flexible approach to work.
Must hold a full UK driving licence.
Based in Hartlebury, Near Kidderminster.
Salary Circa. £30,000.
Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
