Import & Export Administrator Temporary contract for 6 months

An opportunity has arisen for an Import and Export Administrator to join the Operations team. The post-holder will assist the Sales Order Processing Team in obtaining and cataloguing export and import entries, along with other documentation and proof of export/import as required.
Key responsibilities will include:
Obtaining and checking copy entries and ensuring they correctly reflect our instructions and shipping terms.
This will involve liaising with shipping agents and customer forwarders, confirming details on shipments such as tariff codes and coordinating with other Team members to satisfy all our obligations regarding keeping proof of import and export.
This is a fast-paced environment and so we are looking for someone with strong organizational and administrative skills who has a good eye for detail. The successful candidate will be a positive and enthusiastic individual with good computer skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good PC-literacy and confidence with integrated business systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong administration skills
- Working knowledge and general understanding of export and import procedures
- SAP experience will be a distinct advantage
Full time 37.5 hours a week working for a contract of 6 months temp.
£10-13 per hour depending on experience
