The Role

This In-House Recruiter / HR Assistant role is a newly created role offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruiter to join an established and experienced HR team. You will report to and support the HR Manager to deliver the strategic HR plan, with an emphasis on recruitment, talent management and succession planning.

You will support and help develop and grow the employer brand in order to attract and retain the best possible candidates. Wider HR duties include administrative support and an involvement in HR projects.


Management of the in-house recruitment requirements.
Pro-actively recruiting and resourcing having a talent pool available.
Utilising appropriate tools including external recruitment sites to source suitable candidates.
Screening candidates to ensure they have the skills and experience required.
Booking the interview dates with hiring manager and candidate.
Administration of references.
Write job adverts to post internally and advertise positions externally.
Review applications and pass onto hiring managers, support with interviews as required.
Attend job fairs and develop and maintain contacts with colleges, universities, and other organisations to identify potential applicants.
Work with external recruiters and employment agencies
Meet with functional business leaders, as required, to discuss and establish staffing objectives and ensure they are achieved.
Assist with training line management on recruiting, interviewing, and the selection process as required.
Keep abreast of market trends and demands impacting the company's ability to attract competitive candidates.
Undertake benchmarking activities to ensure we are competitive within the market place.
Support HR activities and projects as requested by the HR Manager.


Previous background in either in-house recruitment or agency (preferably both).
Self-starter, able to work autonomously, delivering high volume results.
Proven abilities in qualification techniques.
Strong and professional telephone manner, with ability to quickly identify quality results.
Knowledge and proven experience of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation.
Proven influencing and negotiation skills.
To be able to communicate effectively in both the spoken word or in writing whatever is appropriate to the audience.

Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm, Friday 8:30am to 4pm & 8:30am to 12:30pm rotating.
