Location: Worcestershire
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000, with some flexibility DOE
Hours: Permanent, full-time or part-time from 30 hours
Working pattern: Office-based then hybrid

Hewett Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Information Security Consultant for a specialist technology business in Worcestershire.

This is a hands-on, client-facing position focused on ISO 27001 consultancy, implementation and auditing. You will advise organisations on building and improving their Information Security Management Systems, carry out internal audits and readiness assessments, and produce clear, practical recommendations.

The successful person must already have demonstrable ISO 27001 delivery experience. This is not a development opportunity for someone whose experience is limited to policy administration or a recently completed qualification.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead ISO 27001 consultancy, implementation and audit assignments.

  • Help clients design, embed and improve an effective ISMS.

  • Conduct gap analyses, internal audits and certification-readiness reviews.

  • Translate findings into clear reports and practical improvement plans.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Develop knowledge of additional UK cyber assurance frameworks.

Essential experience:

  • Strong practical experience delivering ISO 27001 consultancy, implementation or audits.

  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification, or substantial equivalent delivery experience.

  • Hands-on knowledge of ISMS design, risk, controls and continual improvement.

  • Confident client management, report writing and communication skills.

Experience with wider cyber assurance frameworks, data protection, defence-sector assurance or ISO 9001 would be useful but is not essential. Further training can be provided.
