Interim Finance Director (12-18months)

An opportunity to work for a leading charity has arisen and will be an exciting position for an experienced candidate who thrive on and is experienced at working within in this sector. Reporting into the COO, the role will be an integral part of the senior management team, leading and managing two finance teams based in Worcester and Stafford. With over half of the time working remotely and the remainder visiting and supporting the two offices, the Finance Director will manage multiple projects across the two brands.

Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Managing financial systems as well as financial functions
• Leading and guiding both finance teams across both sites
• Standardising and embedding finance systems with a common platform
• Migrating both brands to Sage Line 50 on the cloud
• Budgeting strategy, forecasting and monitoring of performance targets
• Providing reports and financial information and analysis to the COO, Senior Management team and Board of Trustees

It is essential that you are a natural relationship builder and leader with excellent communication skills and someone who would genuinely enjoy being part of a 'hands on' organisation.

Skills and experience required:

• A charity Finance background is required
• Experience on Sage
• A diploma in charitable accounting (highly desirable)
• A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA / ACA)
• Proven leadership experience
• Experience in separation of restricted and unrestricted reserves (desirable)

With a combination of home working and travel to both the Worcester and Stafford offices, the salary on offer is c £50k
