The company are a market leader in optical products manufacturing who are now looking to recruit to their already busy IT Administration team in Kidderminster!
The role will see a successful IT Administrator maintain and develop the IT Systems, applications, network and infrastructure to meet business needs; to support system users across site; to participate in wider strategic systems changes and support the introduction of new production equipment requiring IT interfacing.
Your responsibilities as an IT Administrator will also include:
-Maintenance of the IT systems on site including server and network infrastructure, voice and telephony systems and various production and non-production applications, ensuring reliable and cost-effective running supporting production, customer service call centre and admin PC users.
-Analyse, trouble shoot and facilitate resolution of system / telecommunication related issues.
-Act as the primary technical support for onsite end users.
-Resolve issues with end users ensuring minimum disruption to production and service to stores.
-Own the entire end user experience, ensuring all touch points, software, comms, and operating systems all seamlessly link together to deliver the best end user experience possible.
-Ensure the systems usage is managed effectively in order to develop and promote good practice and responsible usage of IT systems on site.
-Make senior management team aware of any identified misuse.
-Pro-actively manage the network infrastructure with particular focus on the stability and security of the infrastructure and continuity of service, antivirus provision, backup management and system recovery in the event of a major component failure.
As a successful IT Administrator you should be experienced in:
-Business Enterprise Servers, Microsoft & Linux OS, MS Office.
-Flexibility on hours, as the role may require out of hours attendance to work on systems while production is down or quiet.
-VMWare ESXi 5.5, 6.0 & 6.5.
-Troubleshooting, analytical problem solving & decision making.
-Diagnosing and solving hardware & software faults.
-Networking (LAN/WAN topologies) particularly Cisco technologies as a preference.
This IT Administrator opportunity is based in Kidderminster so is commutable from: Worcester, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Hereford, Malvern, Pershore, Lower Broadheath, Powick, Whittington, Stourport-On-Severn, Bewdley, and Stourbridge.
