A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an IT Manager to join a marketing leading manufacturing group with a global presence and 6 sites around the UK. They require someone with a proven track record in a similar role to deliver general desktop, user and infrastructure support, as well as helping to deliver key projects and provide strategic insight.

As IT Manager, reporting to the Company Secretary, your key responsibilities will include:

• Operational responsibility for infrastructure projects
• Recommending the strategy roadmap for the future of the infrastructure
• Working alongside a 3rd party MSP and other hardware and software vendors to design agile and stable solutions for future business performance

• Ensure operational infrastructure readiness and resilience
• Leading the helpdesk in response to day to day support issues
• Proactively engaging with stakeholders continually develop systems in line with strategic business plans including change management

The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in a similar role, ensuring the stability of day to day operations whilst having the ability to look at things from a more strategic perspective in order to make recommendations on how the business can improve.

Key technical knowledge required includes

• Virtualisation (Hyper V)
• MySQL Programming and Database management
• Office 365, Sharepoint
• VPNs
• Cloud Services
• Active Directory

This IT Manager role is based in Kingswinford, commutable from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Walsall, Rubery, Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wednesbury. The business has a number of sites across the UK and occasional site travel will be required. Salary £40-50,000 depending on experience.
