Job description

My client are a well-established company who are one of the UK's leading independent financial advisory firms. They are looking for someone to join their growing team as a Support Technician.

As a successful IT Support Technician you will:

  • Be first point of contact for any IT or telephony related issues for internal staff and remote users.
  • Diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical problems.
  • Log all work requests on internal ticketing system and keeping users up to date with tickets.
  • Liaise with 3rdParty companies to ensure computer and telephony systems.
  • Complete set up of new computers, including external laptops and remote users PC requirements.
  • Look into workflow efficiencies and make recommendations to processes to improve workflow and recommend new ways of working.
  • Maintain corporate security in line with and assisting to the IT Security Analyst.

As a successful IT Support Technician you will have experience with the following:

  • Active Directory
  • Windows Server (desirable)
  • Windows 7 and above
  • Microsoft Products
  • Powershell
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Exchange Online
  • Mobile Device Management
  • Security principles
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Work well within a team.

This IT Support Technician role is paying a salary dependant on experience of between £25,000 and £27,000.

This role is based in Bromsgrove and is commutable from Redditch, Studley, Alvechurch, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Halesowen, Worcester, Birmingham, Kidderminster, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and Droitwich Spa.
