As a Junior Transit Manager your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
*Working alongside other Transit Managers to ensure that resourcing requirements are always met and services delivered efficiently.
*Responsibility for managing transits from first client contact; providing quotation, managing the transit, through to the final invoice
*Establishing and maintaining a thorough understanding of all of your client's needs and requirements.
*Allocating tasks to Transit Coordinators and performance monitoring and management.
*Monitor and report on operational personnel incidents including management of reports and interviews
It is essential for a successful Junior Transit Manager to:
* Demonstrate a high level of initiative and self- motivation
* Posses exceptional verbal and written communication skills
*Have prior experience managing people, processes or strategies
*Possess a calm, professional attitude with an ability to respond to emergencies if required
It would be advantageous for a Junior Transit Manager to:
*Have previous experience managing a CRM system
*Demonstrate previous experience within the maritime services sector in a Commercial or Operations role
*Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Based in Hereford offering a starting salary of 21k with a fast track increase to 25K within a 9 month period. Hours of work are rotating shifts covering Monday - Sunday.
