Supporting all operations, predominantly customer and supplier contracts and complaints management, the Legal Affairs Manager will have a solid understanding of the law and legal principles as they apply to corporate contracts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for insurance renewals for the business and looking at various T&Cs with other external parties. Experience in either a commercial an in-house position, or a law firm will be considered.
Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
*Responsibility for all legal agreements entered into, taking third party advice where needed
*Creating and maintaining Group contract templates
*Contract negotiations and renegotiations with insurer, broker and partner customers
*Investigating of matters and compilation of information and documents to support defending or pursuing legal actions
*Contributing to legal matters relating to company reorganisation and new company creation
*Undertaking reviews of non-core supplier and other contracts
*Supporting CFO in any material corporate process
*Creating and reviewing governance procedures
*Managing complaints handling procedure
*Managing the Group insurance programme
*Providing support to Group Risk and Compliance
Skills and experience:
*Previous experience within a 'legal' role either in-house or law firm
*Experience in contract drafting and negotiation
*Previous experience within software or insurance industry (preferred)
*Exceptional oral and written communication skills
*Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
*An outstanding level of attention to detail
*Strong Microsoft Office skills
*Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
*Legal qualification preferred
Located in Worcester, our client is offering a basic salary of up to £40k
