Salary: up to £32,000pa + shift allowance + other perks

Shifts: 2x weeks days, 1x week afternoons- rotating on this pattern

A steel processing client in Kidderminster is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will assist with reactive maintenance, PPM and assisting with repairing production machinery to ensure that production downtime is kept to a minimum. The machinery you will take care of varies, including mechanical and electrical maintenance, but full training will be provided and so experience in just one field will be considered.

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

• Service and repair of the machinery, including pneumatic, hydraulics, CNC, PLC, etc.
• Reactive maintenance & Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Implementing continuous improvement projects
• Diagnosis and PLC fault finding
• Providing technical support to operatives

Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

• Apprenticeship, HNC or HND level qualification in engineering
• Some experience in maintenance, either mechanical or electrical
• Welding ability and FLT licence is advantageous
• Understanding of pneumatics & hydraulics systems
• Full training will be provided

The role is based in Kidderminster and is commutable from Worcester, Stourbridge, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Bridgnorth and Tenbury Wells.
