As a company that recognises quality engineering, they work very closely with some of the most renowned suppliers of both machinery and raw materials in the West Midlands.
Working within a well-established Maintenance Engineering team, your responsibilities will focus largely around the maintenance and repair of all production equipment. This will include planning and carrying out preventative maintenance as well as remaining very 'hands on' with dealing with breakdowns and carrying out reactive fault finding. With the relatively high volume nature of production at this facility, machine downtime must be kept to a minimum, and it's important to make sure that any downtime is as cost effective as possible.
*First-line contact for immediate reaction to emergency break-down on plant, equipment and buildings diagnosing problems as quickly as possible.
*Effectively manage break-down and/or failure of equipment and plant by taking appropriate remedial action in the following areas; Robotics, PLC's, Electrical Control Systems, Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
*Carry out a safe system of work for Predictive, Preventative and Planned Maintenance as required.
*When situation demands source and collect from suppliers, replacement parts for emergency break-downs/equipment failures.
*To work as part of an effective maintenance team assisting others when necessary.
*Adhere to strict health and safety requirements at all times.
*A background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
*An ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
*Be comfortable working on their own initiative, as well as part of a small team.
*Experience of connecting a programmer to a PLC and interrogating the programme for fault finding purposes.
*Have a flexible approach to working both day and night shifts.
Based in Worcester, commutable from Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Stourport, Birmingham, Stourbridge, Malvern, Ledbury, Pershore, Evesham, Tewkesbury, Upton, Gloucester and Cheltenham.
