Job description
This is an opportunity for an experienced PA / Secretary to join an established Accountancy firm to provide support to one of the practice partners and the office as a whole.
The role covers a range of client and support services and although this role requires the ability to work at pace and to deadlines in a sometimes demanding environment, the team are exceptionally supportive and have created a real friendly atmosphere.
Due to the nature of the work involved, this opportunity would naturally suit candidates from an accountancy background or experience from within the legal sector.
Responsibilities:
- Finalising company accounts and issuing to client for approval.
- Filing company accounts and confirmation statements in accordance with deadlines to Companies House together with other documents.
- Dealing with sole trader, charity and pension scheme accounts.
- Issuing completed personal and corporate tax returns to clients for approval.
- Dealing with client correspondence, letters and emails.
- Ensuring that all accounting and taxation deadlines are met for clients.
- Receptionist duties, answering phone and greeting clients.
- Raising fee notes and issuing statements to clients.
- Making appointments and managing a diary.
Requirements:
- Previous PA / Secretary experience essential.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- A confident personality.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Strong typing, administration and IT skills, particularly MS Office.
- Shorthand / Dictation experience beneficial.
Based in Malvern, Worcestershire.
Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm / 8:30am to 5pm.
£24,000 annual salary.
