The Role

A Part Time Practice Manager is required for an established local firm of Solicitors. As Practice manager you will manage the day to day operations of the business and ensure its smooth operation. This will include ensuring compliance with the Office Procedures Manual by every member of staff and every Partner and to assist the Managing Partner in the implementation of the firms strategic plans (Business Marketing, Business Continuity and ICT). You will also manage the firms HR Function and to deputise for the Managing Partner.

Responsibilities

*Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the Lexcel and CQS/WIQS quality standard requirements.
*Manage the annual audits for Lexcel, CQS & WIQS.
*Manage HR issues, staff inductions and support the partners in staff recruitment.
*Support the Partners in staff appraisals.
*Assist with the implementation of the Firms strategic plans.
*Assist with monitoring and ensuring regulatory compliance.
*Manage firm and partner insurances.
*To use the correct office systems and procedures in order to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firm's standards.
*To maintain professional standards.
*To keep up-to-date by training and research.
*To contribute to the department, office and firm as and when required.
*To liaise with and assist other members of the department in the offices as necessary.
*To ensure confidentiality and security of all practice documentation and/or information.
*To undertake any such duties which may be required from time to time required of you by the Partners.

Requirements

Good Experience of HR Practices.
Management experience within a law firm.
Legal experience to include LEXCEL and other accreditations.
Computer Literate.
Experience of supervising colleagues.
Friendly but firm demeanour.
CIPD or equivalent experience and to be a suitable person for the purposes of the SRA.
Good verbal and written skills are essential.
To be self motivated and prioritise own work load in a dynamic environment.
Have a practical and diplomatic approach.
A capacity for inspiring professionalism.

£30,000 - £35,000 pro-rata

Based in Kidderminster.
Part Time - 2 ½ to 3 days Per Week.
