PHP Developer
A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a market leading organisation where you will develop applications in PHP and gain exposure to an interesting automation tech stack. As a PHP Developer you will be join the existing, established development team, responsible for the design, delivery, deployment and testing of web applications in PHP. The role requires substantial experience of Object-Orientated Software Design and best practices, with a strong understanding of CSS and Javascript.
The successful applicant will have extensive development experience with PHP along with knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript and a solid understanding of security issues on the internet. You should have knowledge of relational databases and SQL as well as unit testing with PHPUnit. Any experience with Agile software development would be useful, as would knowledge of asynchronous Javascript (using Promises), various frameworks (Zend, Knockout, Backbone, NPM) and usability, accessibility, SEO and W3C standards.
The organisation is based in Worcester although this opportunity is open to applicants who remote work from anywhere in the UK. You must be able to spend the first 6 weeks of employment onsite at Worcester as part of your induction and training. It is commutable from Birmingham, Kidderminster, Malvern, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Hereford, Ledbury, Evesham, Stourbridge, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Droitwich Spa and Pershore. Salary up to £36,000, commensurate with experience.
