Policy Manager

This bespoke position within a leading and forward thinking Worcestershire organisation, requires a commercial individual with demonstrable experience within a policy or stakeholder management role. As the Policy Manager, you will be required to undertake the following responsibilities (as well as additional duties as required):

*Develop and maintain relationships with policy makers and stakeholders
*Continually manage and develop policy strategy and activity strategically
*Manage a programme of events to engage members with policy issues
*Deliver a selection of high quality reports and documents which are commercially viable
*Undertake quantitative and qualitative research
*Manage the business intelligence, gathering data and knowledge from across the organisation

As the Policy Manager you will have a keen interest in current affairs and be very politically aware. You will also be required to:

*Work closely with Directors during the business planning process
*Manage and develop the Policy Assistant and other team members
*Regularly review and update budgets
*Play an active role in the HR process with regards to the team.
It is essential that you can demonstrate the following:
*Proven experience in a similar role
*Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
*Excellent research skills
*Strong commercial, political acumen
*A natural self-starter with drive and vision
*Highly professional

The salary of this position is £27k. The organisation offers an excellent benefits package include 29 days holiday + Bank hols (rising to 31 after 2 years) and flexible working hours. For the right candidate, there is potentially an opportunity to consider part time hours
