Job description

The Role

The Pricing Analyst role is a very important role within the business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for tracking market trends as well as establishing, maintaining and analyzing price reference documentation in order to uncover key market and pricing insights, such as how pricing strategy will affect the consumer and how it relates to the company's competitors. You will prepare pricing recommendations based on your analysis, having a direct impact on quotation preparation.

To be successful in this role you will need to be highly analytical and enjoy working with numbers and statistics.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing Management - Loading new offers onto the website using the matrix, expediting these requests as your number one priority.
  • Special Offers - Work with the sales director to construct new special offers.
  • Funder Specials - Load pricing and monitor our finance company special offers.
  • Discount Terms - Own, enhance and monitor our discount terms.
  • Manufacturer Terms - Add a pricing matrix for any models where we have our own manufacturer terms
  • Competitor Research - Provide pricing analysis / competitor research for management
  • Rate Books - Ownership of funder and dealer rate books and the process of updating the online systems.
  • Pricing Expiry - Ownership of pricing expiry by taking feedback from the market, customer and staff as deals either sell out or expire.
  • Strategy - Identify new opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through pricing strategies.
  • Work with marketing - Confer with sales and marketing teams to develop new pricing propositions and marketing campaigns.
  • Pricing Models - Own and develop our online pricing matrix / models.
  • Quarterly Focus - Focus on end/start of quarter RV & discount changes to ensure we are meeting our financial promotion policies and regulations.
  • Ensure that remaining FCA compliant, treating customers fairly and adhering to data protection guidelines is central to all roles within the business.


Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, diplomatic team player with a proactive results orientation
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrable high end analytical and numeric skills
  • Experience with back-office and billing systems, database management and Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of databases as well as data reporting and mining applications
  • Systems experience in SAP (Systems Applications Products)
  • Part CIMA or ACCA qualified desirable


£21k - £30k Depending on experience.
Discretionary Annual Bonus

Based in Bromsgrove.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm.
