Job description

The Role

As Process Operative you will be responsible for manufacturing, producing, assembling and finishing products in accordance with manufacturing methods, following instructions closely to meet demand.

Due to the unique and specialist nature of the products, accuracy and high attention to detail are essential as is the ability to work to standards in a safe and professional manner.

Responsibilities

Carry out daily activities in accordance with plans, and as directed by the Cell Leader or Cell Manager.
Manufacturing, producing, assembling and finishing products in accordance with approved methods of manufacture.
Conducting tasks in line with standards, procedure and manuals, and taking personal responsibility to ensure processes are followed.
Ensure work stations and environment is always in a 'fit for purpose' state, meaning clean, safe and maintained.
Escalating equipment and facility faults to Cell Supervision.
Responsible to ensure your own training is updated and maintained to enable you to perform the duties required and requested by the Cell Leader or Manager.
Flexibility across skills and responsibilities expected in line with business needs.
Maintain 5S standards within production cell.
Notify cell leader of any issues with cell-based consumables, record keeping and data accuracy on a daily basis.
Take an active part in improvement projects as required by the department.
Involvement in meetings including planning, risks assessments, methods and team briefs.

Requirements

Manufacturing Industry experience.
Self-motivated.
Able to work under pressure.
Mature and professional attitude necessary and ability to follow instructions.
Methodical and thorough approach.
The successful candidate should have as a minimum GCSE Maths and English (min level C or 5) or equivalent.
Subject matter knowledge beneficial (engineering knowledge, qualifications or interest).
