Job description

The Role

Production Manager.

This is a brand new role created as the business continues to grow and expand its production facility. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead a team of around 20 staff across the production unit, ensuring all processes are efficient and a high quality product is delivered to customers. This will naturally involve working to set timescales and meeting production and delivery targets and deadlines.

You should be a strong people manager as well as being experienced within warehousing environments, to include inventory management and elements of stock control. The role will require administration, analytical and data management work, meaning a strong understanding of Excel is needed, to include pivot tables and VLookups.

Responsibilities

  • People management.
  • Lead and motivate the team, providing coaching and training where appropriate.
  • Planned preventative maintenance schedules for all production machinery.
  • Good understanding and awareness of health and safety requirements.
  • Ensuring production of product to time and quality standards.
  • A focus on productivity and quality of output.
  • Inventory management - ensure robust records and adequate stock levels are maintained to avoid gaps in service.
  • Forecasting future production requirements based on current and historical sales data.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Working closely with other internal teams.
  • Monitoring service levels and addressing any issues quickly.
  • An involvement in any recruitment for the department, appraisals, disciplinaries etc.

Requirements

  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Previous production and warehouse management experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables / VLookups).
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Health & Safety qualifications desirable

Based in Kidderminster.

Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

Salary circa £50,000.
