Hewett Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join the Laser Cutting Department of a successful manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual looking to develop new skills within a fast-paced production environment.

Immediate start available.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00am - 5:00pm
• Friday: 08:00am - 1:00pm
• 39 hours per week

The Role

Working within the Laser Cutting Department, you will support the production process, assisting with the operation of laser cutting machinery and ensuring products are manufactured to the highest standards. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who is quick to learn and eager to develop a long-term career in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the operation of laser cutting equipment following full training.
• Prepare materials for production and assist with processing finished products.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet specification.
• Read and follow job instructions and production schedules.
• Assist with packing and movement of finished goods.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety and quality procedures.

About You

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment is beneficial.
• A quick learner with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Keen to learn new processes and develop technical skills.
