We are recruiting for Production Operatives to join a busy and successful manufacturing operation in Hartlebury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business offering stability, ongoing training and genuine permanent opportunities.

The business manufactures specialist products supplied into the construction sector across the UK.

The Role

As a Production Operative, you will play an important part in the manufacturing process, helping to produce and prepare specialist construction products for distribution across the UK.

This is a highly physical and repetitive role that involves manual handling throughout the shift. Candidates should be comfortable carrying out repetitive tasks for prolonged periods whilst maintaining quality standards and productivity targets.

The manufacturing process includes products being fired in kilns, before progressing through various finishing, handling and packing stages.

Duties will include:

• Stacking and banding finished products
• Manual handling and movement of products throughout the production process
• Working as part of a close-knit production team
• Rotating between different production areas
• Supporting kiln and post-production processes
• Carrying out repetitive production tasks throughout the shift
• Maintaining quality standards and production targets
• Following all health and safety procedures
• End-of-shift housekeeping duties, including cleaning equipment and workstations using brushes, shovels, buckets and industrial vacuum equipment
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

Working Environment

This is a physically demanding role within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment and applicants should carefully consider the nature of the position before applying.

Candidates must be comfortable with:

• Continuous manual and physical work throughout the shift
• Repetitive production duties
• Frequent lifting, moving and handling of products
• Working on their feet for the majority of a 12-hour shift
• Dusty and dirty working conditions
• Hot temperatures in certain production areas, particularly around kiln operations
• A heavy industrial manufacturing environment
• Working closely with colleagues as part of a team at all times

This role would suit candidates who enjoy hands-on work, are physically fit, have a strong work ethic and are comfortable carrying out repetitive duties throughout their working day.

Please note: This is not a light production or assembly position. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a physically demanding, dusty and repetitive manufacturing environment.

The Candidate

• Previous manufacturing, production or factory experience
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out demanding manual duties
• Comfortable undertaking repetitive work throughout a 12-hour shift
• Happy working within a dusty, industrial environment
• Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Positive attitude towards health and safety
