This new and exciting role as a Production Process Engineer will see you working in a lead position providing internal and technical support to the Production department to improve processes and resolve technical issues. You will be working for a leading engineering business who design and manufacture highly technical products for a number of global markets.
Liaise with the engineering teams to review and develop operational processes to successfully manufacture high quality new products which meet customer specifications.
Develop robust production processes and improve product designs, with the aim to reduce costs and improve reliability.
Define and document clear written instructions and procedures to direct the Production team.
Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for all production machinery and liaise with suppliers.
Review operational product and process documentation and ERP system information changes (including bills of materials, product specification and change requests).
Develop, document and improve required tooling and jigs by liaising with the engineering teams and suppliers to guarantee product quality and operational productivity.
Undertake detailed analysis using statistical methods, providing relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
Be the first line of contact for production and engineering to assist in providing solutions to production issues.
As a Production Process Engineer you will be expected to have a mix of the following requirements;
HND/HNC and above in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering - Degree level would be highly advantageous
Experience in the management of projects from start to finish
Familiarity with MRP/ERP Systems would be beneficial
Flexible and adaptable to fast-paced changing environments
Flexible to attend conferences, exhibitions and networking events as required.
This role as Production Process Engineer is based in Hereford and commutable from: Malvern, Worcester, Ledbury, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Droitwich and Pershore.
