Project Support Officer

As a key member of the Executive team, the Project Support Officer will have responsibility for supporting a team of Project Managers to deliver a portfolio of projects as well as maintaining and updating documents. With a highly organised approach, exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of written and verbal communication skills, you will ideally have worked in a similar project / programme /support role.


Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Supporting on the delivery of several time-sensitive projects
  • Maintaining effective project management documentation to ensure smooth reporting processes
  • Managing several government-funded projects and report on their updates
  • Engaging directly with project delivery partners and ensuring accurate reporting of agreed metrics and appropriate record and evidence keeping, in line with funding agreement requirements and timescales
  • Participating and assisting with relevant events and encouraging participation amongst businesses and stakeholders
  • Working closely with other team members to ensure that all Business Plan, Performance and Financial targets are achieved
  • Keeping updated with all new literature and information and maintain a thorough knowledge of new procedures
  • Any other duties that may be required

Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience of project and programme support - ideally within a private / public partnership environment
  • Confident in working with and looking at financial systems
  • Organised, methodical and highly accurate
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident on all Microsoft Office packages
  • Strong team player who enjoys a fast paced environment
  • Car owner with full driving licence

This is initially a Fixed Term contract until March 2022 and offers the flexibility of office based and home working - Malvern / Worcester
