Are you an experienced and dynamic Scrum Master looking for your next opportunity?

This role will support the company vision by coaching a number of delivery teams to become well-motivated, high-performing and self-organising. They will also facilitate an increased understanding of agile philosophy and best practice across the organisation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To support the Head of Production in the evolution of the Production department as part of the Leadership Team.
  • To work with a small number of Production teams to deliver on time and to the requisite quality
  • To facilitate all elements of the Agile production process in order to ensure efficient and effective delivery of content
  • To coach and support team members to develop skills, collaborate effectively, share knowledge and become self-managing
  • To help remove impediments for teams and individuals to enable them to focus on building and delivering quality software
  • To identify and use meaningful metrics to report progress to the business and to help the team continuously improve
  • To support and work with the Product Owners in carrying out user research, defining opportunities and building feature backlogs
  • Promote transparency and communication across the business
  • Promote continuous improvement through effective and ongoing retrospectives with the teams
  • To challenge assumptions, identify and escalate issues and concerns as appropriate, ensuring recommendations for resolution are considered
  • To monitor the number and skillsets of the people within the teams and to highlight to the organisation when the existing team levels may not have capacity to reach desired goals
  • To work closely with the Production Team Leads in order to develop the performance of the team and individual team members, coaching an 'inspect and adapt' outlook
  • To share best practice with the other Scrum Masters, ensuring adoption within own team to deliver optimum performance

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • A minimum of two years' experience of Scrum Mastery in Agile development, with appropriate industry certification
  • Collaborates successfully with developers, testers, architects and business representatives alike
  • Effective at adapting Agile/Lean methodologies to ensure best fit for delivering the business goals
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies
  • Experience of working to deadlines within a fast-paced industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop relationships of trust
  • Self-motivated with a track record of delivering to meet business objectives
  • Able to prioritise and manage own workload effectively
  • Demonstrable experience of sharing knowledge effectively with others
  • Track record of facilitation, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and servant leadership skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in working in a commercial software company
  • Knowledge of Muddy Boots products
  • Experience of UX or customer research
  • Experience of other Agile/Lean methodologies
