The Company

Forming part of the supply chain to an instantly recognisable high street brand. An international organisation, they are well established and experiencing sustained growth.

The Role

To develop a flexible, multi-skilled and engaged workforce, capable of meeting pre-agreed targets, whilst demonstrating a strong commitment to driving quality, service and productivity initiatives throughout the site. You will also be responsible for overall site management outside of normal working hours.


Supervise a shift of circa 46 FTE's including team leaders to achieve productivity, quality and service targets.
Actively lead communication initiatives across the shift by holding regular team briefs and displaying an active presence on the shop floor.
Ensure all critical site processes and systems are in working order, including IT, plant, machinery, security and stores.
Conduct regular housekeeping audits to continually raise standards across the site and work towards a world class environment.
Responsible for the ongoing improvement in risk reduction and overall responsibility for health and safety compliance across shift.
Organise and manage work flow to include tray management, prioritisation of trays and rejects together with identifying in a timely manner, any bottlenecks within the manufacturing flow and taking appropriate remedial action.
Conduct regular process audits on pre determined key equipment, to ensure Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
Work directly with the quality team to identify any quality issues and subsequent action relevant to the shift.
Attend weekly quality review meetings.
Engage directly with team members to optimise skill and knowledge through training and multi-skilling.
Demonstrate excellent management control systems in the efficient organisation of manpower, rest breaks, holiday allocation and overtime.


ILM level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management minimum with a view to achieving ILM level 5 Certificate
Six Sigma Green Belt
Excellent communication skills - demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Experience and knowledge of working within a high volume manufacturing environment
Knowledge and experience of working with KPI's, objectives and target setting
Experience of supervising an effective production team
Health & Safety Qualifications / Knowledge beneficial

Based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
Saturday & Sunday 7am to 7pm, Monday & Tuesday 10pm to 6am.
Salary dependant on experience.
