As Shift Leader you will ensure the delivery of production output in line with business key performance indicators. Coach and develop staff to maximize performance across shift. Manage continuous improvement and people development programs.
Lead the effective management of the production operation.
Ensure compliance to Legislative and Quality Management System Requirements.
Creation and delivery of departmental and direct reports' objectives in line with agreed business objectives.
Establish and deploy best practice tools & techniques across function.
Delivery of Production content of KPI scorecard.
Develop self and team to ensure future business requirements can be met, leveraging full range of available support and training mechanisms.
Support direct reports with optimization of resource and capacity, to meet strategic targets.
Work with Supply Chain and Customer Supply staff to improve Customer service levels.
Work with Maintenance Leader to ensure PM schedules are delivered on time.
Commit and Manage Production resource to support Continuous Improvement and Engineering Projects.
Lead cross functional business projects and improvement activities including local community initiatives.
Manage performance and disciplinary processes maintain compliance to legal and company requirements.
Carry out daily/weekly/monthly confirmation audits.
To work with manager and HR on relevant training needs across function.
Carry out established management tasks e.g. shift briefings etc.
Develop a quality conscious team with a disciplined, procedural approach
Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation
Carry out any other reasonable tasks, including deputising for manager as required
Experience in a similar role is essential.
Track record of delivery within a high volume manufacturing / distribution environment.
Demonstrates knowledge & experience of policy development & deployment.
Application of best practice manufacturing principles/advanced knowledge of lean management.
Educated to A Level standard as minimum, ideally Degree in technical/management discipline.
Excellent communication skills, convey information in an engaging manner.
Good analytical & problem solving skills.
Based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, permanent 2pm to 10pm shift.
Basic salary £35k - £40k.
