The Role

Working from a new, purpose built facility in Worcestershire, the Shift Manager will own the end to end production process and collaborate across all departments to deliver the overall business plan. The Shift Manager should lead, motivate and support production team members to ensure the delivery of the right quality at the right cost and at the right time through engaged teams.

Shift Manager Responsibilities

Responsible for leading a team of production Shift Operatives; maintaining safety, quality and environmental standards while maximising production efficiencies.
A focus on people; managing team performance and development of production staff as well as identifying any training needs and opportunity for succession planning.
Ensuring that all material usage is managed efficiently to minimise costs and reduce waste.
Management of all production resources in order to achieve shift objectives, while taking into account the requirements of the overall business operation.
Engage in performance management across all team members, from the escalation of performance issues through to succession planning and team development.
Ensure all production records are maintained and up to date
Maintaining all areas of Health and Safety, ensuring high standards are kept across the business.
Achievement of KPI's and monitoring performance output.
Supporting the onboarding of new starters and identifying opportunities to further train in line within the needs of the manpower planning.
Proactive involvement in the staff scheduling process to ensure coverage and consistency for each shift.
Maintain a strong relationship with the Supply Chain to minimise any supply concerns.

Shift Manager Requirements

Experience in a similar role.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate skills that they have developed in a similar environment and validate how these skills will add value to the operation.
You will have an ability to motivate and inspire those around you.
Able to build effective teams, as well as utilitise and emphasise the existing skills within the teams.
A proactive approach to forward plan, identifying any concerns and deliver solutions.
Able to prioritise personal and operational workload.
Excellent organisational abilities.
Strong MS Office skills.

Location - Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
Monday to Friday 37.5 Hours. Rotating 4 weekly shifts 8am to 4pm / 4pm to 12pm.
Occasional Nights & Weekends.
Salary £35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus.
