Software Controls Engineer

We are currently working with a leading global advanced engineering company operating internationally with major brand names across the automotive, defence, aerospace and rail industries.

They are currently looking for a Contract Software Controls Engineer to support them in developing vehicle control systems for Hybrid and EV's.

As a Contract Software Controls Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

*Supporting the development of systems and software for control of electric vehicle propulsion systems, including hybrid control and battery management systems (BMS)
*Prototype modelling, utilising tools such as Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow
*Developing safety related control systems utilising ISO26262 methodologies
*Verification and Validation of controls software
*Prototype integration and testing on full scale prototype vehicles
Controls Project Engineer You should be experienced in:
*Prior experience using Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow for development of software control strategies and plant models
*Experience working to software V-Cycle
*Previous experience with requirements gathering process
*Understanding of Functional Safety
*Technical background in electric/ hybrid vehicle powertrains

It would be beneficial if as a Software Controls Project Engineer you could also be experienced in any of the below:

*C/C++ embedded automotive software engineering
*Electrical and Electronic systems, CAN/bus, vehicle network protocols
*Exposure to functional safety controls (ISO26262)
